Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison said at a Democratic event Monday that Republicans doing Bible studies in prisons is hurting Democrats chances at winning voters. You know, back when I was in Minnesota State Legislature, I got the impression that maybe Democrats could possibly have an advantage with folks in this area who might vote for us, Ellison said. Not true. We will have to fight for their vote like we do with every other vote because I learned that a lot of Republicans will go to jails and do Bible studies and other things.

He’s been doing that sort of thing for years. His company is very small but he’s tried hiring released prisoners as much as he can.
It’s difficult because they don’t usually make good employees when the work gets hard.
The state thing was teaching the trade to actual prisoners to come out with some skills. Can’t do that without the state
Wait...What?!
So whats his point? Republicans, the Bible and studying are bad?
I read the whole thing. Does this man have some kind of brain disease?

Of course he does, he is a Democrat.
I believe one reason a lot of blacks convert to Islam is because they never really knew Christianity.
A lot of men setting in our prisons didn’t have parents at home to lead them. Their knowledge and understanding of the faith is sometimes weak so it is easier to pry them away.
Prison ministry is a blessing which was recommended by Jesus when he mentioned visiting people in prison.
I had a friend who was in my prayer group for awhile. She was part of a group which ministered at the prison. Before a scheduled visit to the prison they would meet and pray intensely for guidance from the Holy Spirit. They also would have people praying for them during their time at the prison. According to her, there was a deep, dark aura which surrounded them when they enter the prison for prayers and meeting the inmates.
May God blessm and protect all those who are called to this ministry.
So ex-cons who vote Republican are “disenfranchised?”
Now that is funny right there. Wherever Satan screams the loudest, that is where the victory is being won.
Bkmk
Your dad is an angel. That’s a tough ministry. My uncle used to do that at Attica back in the ‘60s and ‘70s.
Yep - over the years I took a lot of A.A. meetings into local jails.....always talked about God during them and didn’t need to suggest Bible studies because the cons know that participating in such gets them brownie points and helps them scam others to send a “bit of money to make life more tolerable”....
This clown is not wrapped right
Plus, he’s dumb
Yes, but to reduce the risk the network would only accept those having demonstrated change and a earnest desire to rebuild their life, testified by the prison ministry workers.
Amen!
