The Justice Department asks its watchdog to look into alleged wrongdoing in the FBI's investigation of Russia interference in the 2016 election after President Trump orders a review into whether agents infiltrated his campaign....

This should put pressure on Comey and the gang to share info on non-FBI wrong-doers like Brennan, Clapper, Rice, Lynch, and Obama.
Comey hasn’t tweeted since May 11th.
I wonder how that book tour is going!
...... take a nap.
Fox didn’t dare put the word Obama in that headline!!! No guts.
Stzrok & Page are still there, as is Priestap, I think; and as such they can sing like canaries..
Just a ploy to keep these RAT treasonous felons out of the news until after the RATs take back Congress in Nov 2018 (I’m counting on that NOT happening).
The only way to avoid this is if Mueller actually was a good person doing the right thing. But given he's a partisan hack only investigating Trump and no other obvious crimes, we did this.
Don't bet on anybody on the left brought to justice!
WEASELS SQUARED!
Page is gone, I think Priestap is gone as well.
Correct. This is just another insult hurled at President Trump. AAG RosenWeasel has instructed in the most lackluster terms that Horowitz should look into the FBI only in this matter when the OIG can not subpoena the former DOJ/FBI/CIA employees or contractors and he has no power to convene a grand jury or make indictments. OIG is busy enough already.
President Trump needs to make it clear that Rod RosenWeasel's only job for the next ten days is responding fully and truthfully to the questions and requests made by Senator Grassley's Judiciary Committee. Senator Grassley gave them until May 31st to respond and RosenWeasel needs to be given clear marching orders to comply with the reasonable requests of Congressional oversight or resign his position.
Huber's mandate was "advisory" only. He is supposed to forward his findings to the AAG. So how many indictments have we seen come out of Huber's office? None that I know of.
Au contraire friend........ an IG who does his job will have built a crushing case before the appointee or senior boss who is no longer there is even interviewed.
Bosses hold meetings with underlings and tell them to do things on behalf of the boss or at their direction. The underlings are career employees and they want their retirement. Bosses send emails and text messages on their work phones. The IG has unfettered access to all of this. Solid investigations involving groups of people are built from the bottom up - foot soldier says Lt told him to do XYZ and said ABC. Lt says Captain told him to do XYZ and said ABC. Captain says Colonel said to do XYZ and said ABC. Colonel who is in meeting with appointed General says the same.
The IG also has unfettered access to internal emails, calendars, meeting notes, admin information, etc. The career employees generally have a pretty good idea of what the bosses are doing and they are only exposed to repercussions if they lie.
Based on this, the IG is a pretty powerful tool in this game. By the time a criminal investigator interviews “the target” they will have dozens of interviews and documents from the IG about what happened in their back pocket. The government runs on paperwork and unlike congress - the IG gets it all.
Incredibly the leftist CBS Radio News today had someone (who?) with a soundbite saying Trump had better be careful in asking to investigate because he is thereby in danger of obstruction of justice as there is an ongoing investigation.!!!!!!!!
Did any FReepers hear this soundbite?
A sitting president ask for investigation of wrongdoing and then is in trouble?
How low can this country go?
Ready to battle yet?
The leftists are laughing at all of us.
We suffer, Trump is endangered and they laugh at us
The narrative is changing...
><><
It is. The Deep State bastards like Brennan are going on full defense.
“IG has no authority to interview Anyone not currently in the DoJ. THis is Rosensteins way of letting Brennan, Clapper, Yates, etc skate free. “
No, but a US Attorney does. Why do you think John Huber, a US Attorney was brought in to assist DOJ IG Michael Horowitz?
To read him the daily comics?
My mistake.
