I’m out on the trail, but stopped by a trail angel’s house for rest, and for a zero miles hiked- day.
I read the post from Lakeside Granny, re: raccoons, and would add- moth balls spread about an attic will drive critters away in a nonlethal way.

I’m out of shape and training on the trail.
The mantra in hiking is-
if you go up, then next you are going to go down,
if you go down, then next you are going to go up.
It’s never ending, save for the occasional flat walk.
