Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in an interview on Sunday blamed the National Rifle Association (NRA) for the lack of action in Congress on gun control legislation.
Sanders told host Chuck Todd on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that it’s “unspeakable” that students are no longer surprised by school shootings.
“It’s a three-letter word. It’s the NRA,” Sanders said. “And it’s Trump and the Republicans who don’t have the guts to stand up to these people and that’s pretty pathetic."
Sanders’s remarks come after 10 people were killed in a shooting at a high school in Texas late last week.
The Vermont senator, who caucuses with Democrats, said “of course” the upper chamber has not done enough on gun control legislation.
“But it’s like every other issue. The American people are united overwhelmingly,” he said, referring to “common sense” gun reform policies.
Incoming NRA President Oliver North also hit the Sunday show circuit, emphasizing the need for metal detectors in schools during an interview with "Fox News Sunday."
“You’re not going to fix it by taking away the rights of law-abiding citizens,” North said.
We don’t need gun control, Bernster, and politicians do not have and never will have a solution to this problem, so you can f*** off very much now, mkay, Bernie.
Socialists love disarmed populations and point to the criminals they coddle as evidence to disarm the law-abiding.

This is why libtards say a lot but do nothing effectiveabout crime. They keep crime high and let criminals run rampant as a straw man to disarm the law abiding.
I DO credit the NRA and their allies like the Gun Owners of America with blocking the gun grabbing. That’s why I joined both in the last few months Bernie.
If the American people are sooo hot for gun control how come I almost never see an anti gun bumper sticker, even up here in the liberal northeast? Lots of pro gun stickers though.

Gee Bernie introduce a bill to repeal that pesky Second Amendment so we can be a safe gun free nation like Australia and get fellow Democrats to run on that issue. Better still organize a children’s crusade to repeal the Second Amendment and get the detergent pod mouthing, condom snorting 18 year olds to vote for it with the promise of high paying government jobs and spiffy uniforms to go about the business of searching house to house for guns. Why you could become President like that
