The ceremony itself featured an African-American bishop who cited the American civil rights movement and quoted Martin Luther King Jr. as often as he did Jesus. The couple opted for a secular song, Stand by Me, performed by a predominantly black gospel choirjaws literally droppedin addition to old-school Christian hymns sung by the congregation. The traditional Anglican vows were altered slightly to allow the outspoken feminist Markle to opt out of the traditional promise to obey her husband.
While the acceptance of people of color into the royal fold is a welcome and long-overdue change, the acceptance of divorce and immorality by the Church of England is another thing altogether. That the Church blessed the union at all, coming as it did after the couple had been openly cohabitating and in light of Markles divorce, signals a radical departure from the traditions of the church headed by Queen Elizabeth, who inherited the title Defender of the Faith on the day of her coronation. That designation was first granted to King Henry the VIII by Leo X in 1521. Henry VIII, you will recall, famously left the Catholic church after the Pope refused to annul his marriage to first marriage to Catherine of Aragon. He later appointed himself Supreme Head of the Church of England and went on to wed five more women.

Exactly the reaction from the liberals at Yahoo. The Antichrist will waltz in as easily as, well, the Lying Kenyan.
true
I’ll give Harry credit for one thing - his military service.
.....”The majority of the world, including a significant percentage of the Christian world, are UNABLE to discern the differences between the ‘Real’ Gospel and the ‘Social’ Gospel”......
..There will be ‘a time’ when they will not endure sound teaching, but will multiply teachers ‘for themselves’ because they have an itch to hear what they want to hear. So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
King Henry VIII, aka the original host of Queen For A Day.
I lay down Scripture in front of liberals. Even at a famous church “home office” (I won’t name them publicly nor in FReepmail). Scorn, rejection, scoffing.
The hour is late.
A significant portion of Yahoo liberals (most likely HuffPo disciples) say there is no God, it’s all false, there is no afterlife, etc. A hatred for Israel, the Palestinian appropriation of a “muslim jesus”, etc.
A complete rejection of Biblical fundamentals.
GMAB!
I only saw a bit of the show at around 6 CDT, when the "Beautiful People" were all walking down the road to the castle or where ever they were headed. Between snippets of Shep describing the colors and the other info babe talking about tradition, I was struck with the number of POC that were there.
I thought that maybe the camera guy was just dwelling on the blacks in attendance but after a bit it was obvious that that was not the case.
As the event dragged on it seemed like an "inclusion" point was trying to be made. I really half expected to see Don Cornelius greeting the guests as they strolled down the road and into the castle or whatever it was.
Good riddance Meghan, and please don’t return. No clue, no class, trashing our President. Yuck.
And after your lifestyle shunning Sarah Ferguson? Oh, puhleeze!

Definitely, but it is all down hill after that. ;-)
I admit I know little about this couple. Yesterday I wished them the best and was very happy to see a straight couple getting married in a church. Looking at each other with love in their eyes. It did appear wonderful to me.
Since then I am disappointed to say the least from all that I have read about them. Namely, their liberal views and choices. I pray they turn from those false teachings. Especially now as they are in a unique position to have a profound influence on so many. I also pray for an awakening of the blessings of male/female relations, which come from the Holy Spirit.
Oh did she? No wonder Clooney and the Oprah showed up, birds of an anti-American feather then.
Just ask them if they don’t believe there’s a God then ‘who’ are they fighting against? You’ll get some interesting responses.
I felt like something was a little “off” in the wedding. To me, it looked like the participates were just getting thru. The bride showed very little emotion and said her lines like the actress she is. No smiles from the rest of the Royal family. It may just be me, but i got a weird vibe from the whole thing. The fact that the 36 year old divorced woman wore a veil over her face was a little much and Harry looked like an emotional mess.
Isn’t it interesting that no matter what the occasion it always comes back to race, victims and grievances real and imagined. No day is complete without it, and Kanye is right, some blacks will never get past this because they don’t want to.
Harry’s emotions were tied into his mother’s death there was much that figured her in this wedding.. His tearfulness was when they played her favorite hymn. He spent years getting past it and eventually went to therapy.
I can’t agree that it wasn’t a simply beautiful service. I saw adoring looks to each other and frankly a great deal of pleasantries. They were both ‘comfortable’ and enjoying the day. Family was often smiling and even chuckling and laughing.
Because it beats believing that marrying "an alien race of people" is evil. Or disgusting. Or that the offspring are then impure and inferior.
There are arguments against this marriage. But the mixing of bloodlines isn't one of them. If anything, it is a plus - the Royal Family could desperately use some 'fresh blood'.
I have never cared much for him he seems to go out of his way to embarrass the royal family. Perhaps there is some deep seated resentment there because of his mother? Who can tell. I did read that he was very impressed with Obama and the two became “friends”. That was enough to turn me off.
I am old enough to remember Princess Margret and how she created a furor by smoking in public, LOL, how times have changed. I also remember how sad I was for her because the man she loved was divorced and a union between him and the princess was forbidden. Once again how times have changed.
That was broad minded of Charles to allow James Hewitt to do that.
And here i was just about to mention Doctor Who..
Yes, the only worthwhile thing he has done. And so have many others have also served in the military, including Timothy McVeigh, John McCain, pedophiles, and terrorists. Strange all the fuss media is making over these two who bring to mind the Kardashians.
