On his MSNBC show this evening, Ari Melber not so subtly suggested to Michael Avenatti that Michael Cohen might have put out a Mafia hit on him.
Said Melber:
“We had the Trump lawyer, a former lawyer, last night. Wasn’t just criticizing you, he was asking the question of whether Michael Cohen’s role was to deal with the Mafia for Donald Trump. I mean, he said that, and he’s a Trump lawyer. When you say “ugly,” do you have concerns about your own role, your own safety, your own precautions?”

The Office of Civil Rights brought an enforcement action against the Mafia, charging it with discrimination. Under the consent decree, the Mafia agreed to accept hit contracts from people of all religions and ethnicities. ;-)
More like the Mueller hacks using him and setting him up to deconstruct once they bled him of any usefulness....
Somehow, I don’t think there are many people named “Cohen” in the Mafia.
There were a lot of Jews who were “mobbed up” back in the day, e.g., Bugsy Segal. Maybe not the actual Mafia if that’s restricted to Sicilians. I expect they ordered some hits.
