The fact that the body was found next to a Mosque should not necessarily be misconstrued as a link to Islam. I personally have never heard of Muslims involved in any ritual sacrifices of albinos. Would Muslims hesitate to kidnap an infidel albino girl, in order to SELL her to people who WOULD want to perform a ritual sacrifice?

90% of Mali are Muslim, 9% are a mix of animism and Islam.
The odds are very likely that this unfortunate girl was Muslim and also that the perpetrators were Muslim-animist syncretists.
