During a Fox News segment on various calls for special counsel Robert Mueller to end his probe into Russian meddling during the 2016 U.S. election, Fox News judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano defended the length of the investigation, which hits the 1-year mark this week.

“Bob Mueller has no duty to tip his hand and show his cards until the end of his investigation, and he does have a duty to complete the investigation,” Napolitano, a former judge, told host Heather Childers on “America’s Newsroom.”

It is not the timeline that is the problem. It is the fact there was no basis for a special prosecutor and no purpose for their ever to be a special prosecutor. Which is why this farce has to be ended yesterday.

Yes, Napolitano got fired for being right.

He was fired for saying a British intelligence agent was behind the Dossier and he was proven right that it was Christopher Steele. But the British media and politicians browbeat Fox over what he said and Fox cowered and fired him.

>>I notice there is no direct answer to my question.

I answered it. A simple yes or no would not suffice.

He was suspended, the reason was he reported what has been proven to be facts surrounding the origins of the Trump/Russia fairy tale.

If he believes he's on Trump's short list for a Supreme Court nomination, he is probably trying to be very ‘middle of the road’ in the things he says publicly - so that he would be confirmable. That, in and of itself, is a negative commentary on his candidacy for such a position.

He has no boundaries, thus nothing to bring him to a conclusion. This could go on in perptuity.

The concept of bringing the investigation to a conclusion assumes there is a defined scope.

There will be no 67 year old Supreme Court nominees from this President, and likely not by any other!

This is why he was suspended ..... and it turns out he was correct ...especially in the last couple of days when it looks like there was collusion between US & British Intelligence:

Napolitano’s made several on-air statements advancing the White House narrative that supporters of Obama, through foreign intelligence, listened in on Trump conversations at Trump Tower.

In mid-March, on “Fox and Friends,” for example, Napolitano said he spoke with three sources in the field of intelligence who said Obama “went outside the chain of command” to conduct secret surveillance on Trump. Specifically, the judge said Obama went through Britain’s Government Communications Headquarters, GCHQ, to keep off “American fingerprints” from the surveillance operation.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I think his different attitude is because he was vindicated when the facts proved he was right all along.

IMO, Judge Nap’s legal opinion (not the factual issue above) is sometimes right, sometimes not-so-right. I don’t write off totally what he says, but if I want a legal opinion, I rely on Andy McCarthy .... Judge Nap, not so much.

So if he strays off and starts sniffing a trail that could lead to indictments of the Clinton Foundation you want him to cease?

Beyond his brief. He should hand any such evidence over to Sessions to be handled by regular attorneys.

The Clinton foundation is under investigation and has been for quite a while.

He and the brain-dead Cavuto are joined at the hips.

One standing directly in front of the other.

Wanna know something.......Judge Andrew Napolitano, Neil Cavuto and Charles Gasparino FNC/FBN (FOX), are all 100% losers. I have rarely, if ever seen any of them utter anything that is correct and they are all hateful, envious Trump haters.
