One character yet to be introduced via the Marvel Cinematic Universe is the Muslim superhero Ms Marvel.
But it seems that now is the time - or at least, it will be soon.
The man behind the movies - producer and President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige - has teased to the BBC that the story writers are gearing up to introduce Ms Marvel in the near future.

Oh...I can’t wait.
I don’t see a burka clad women with a cape appealing to a mass audience.
The Muslim superhero needs to be a Muslim woman, wearing a full burka with face screen. Once announced to the world, she rips off the burka to declare that burkas are for weaklings, and her purpose is to free women from submission to men and declare equality.
I think that is exactly what happened. They were embracing political correctness 40 years ago too. I see it in quite a lot of old shows when I have a chance to watch them.
Captain Marvel has a long history with at least 3 different characters holding the mantle. Putting aside Billy Batson and that universe, the original Marvel Captain Marvel was Mar-Vell, a Kree warrior and got the power cosmic and best written AND drawn by the legendary Jim Starlin. Starlin eventually wrote The Death of Captain Marvel n original graphic novel where the character died of cancer. The 2nd Marvel Captain Marvel was Monica Rambeaux who was a great character who could transport at the speed of light. Not sure what happened to her.
Carol Danvers, I believe, became cosmic with the X-Men. She’ll become the prominent one soon, and I look forward to seeing how they flesh her out in the next year or so.
“Are any Christians depicted in the MCU?”
Daredevil, Catholic, son of a nun.
The first Muslim superhero. He flys carpets and butchers Christians.
Thats a winning formula for a good movie./Sarcasm
No, you are right. I think I misread your post. The modern version of the character has become one of those where the male character has been replaced for diversity reasons.
Back when I read new comics the original guy’s son had taken over. I guess he got his walking papers.
I will never watch another Marvel movie if this indeed comes to pass. Marvel is still trying to hype this woefully ill-begotten character (notice I didn’t say “superhero) and cram her down our throats knowing her religion is a murderous one.
Well, it’s Ms. Marvel, so SHE cuts people’s heads off.
Supposedly, Ben Grimm (”The Thing”) is Jewish. I don’t read the comic books - the movies have not shown this aspect of his character.
And she is from Jersey city Nj
The Plotlines are endless...
Taqiyya.
His super power is the ability to lie so well that he can get himself elected to a position to do great damage to a Constitutional Republic.
The MCU is the Disney tv-movie franchise.
It has a continuity separate from other studios and comcs published in any era.
Aren’t they making a mockery of Islam here, I kinda thought their females had their place and it was NOT in any position of power or where they could be perceived as equal to a male...?
Blowupman
I don’t believe that’s true. ABC’s Agents of SHIELD, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders are all part of the MCU even though they haven’t appeared in movies yet. All those shows make reference to events that happened in the MCU movies. Don’t believe me, ask Kevin Feige.
