There’s produce being exported and imported from Ghaza all the time. They have a three-star hotel in Ghaza, where all the journalists and NGO people stay. It might have been a nice place to live if Hamas wasn’t there. But the trucks are generally not used for bombs. Blowing yourself up is one thing. But destroying commerce so that everyone’s starving is something even Hamas wouldn’t dare do.

This is not “all the time” over there right now, there is a lot of unrest and open threats against Israel, especially with the official opening of the US Embassy in Jerusalem over the weekend.

Please understand that normally I would agree with you, but the recent demonstrations in North Gaza and elsewhere have placed border security on higher alert nationally. Perhaps things will return to abinormal once the celebrations and protests about placing the US Embassy in Jerusalem are over.

This would be a good time to by arable land to grow produce on the Israeli side of the border. Soon you would be able to name your price. Such are the vicissitudes of war and peace.
