If the left were interested in addressing gun violence then why haven't they addressed the 50 people that fell victim to gun violence this month in Chicago? The Left isn't interested in addressing gun violence; they're only interested in politicizing it!

Or my niece who is looking for a summer job with tri-color hair, new age amulets around her neck and vintage cloths...

The garden is too big to be starting everything in the house. Somehow hubby got it to 100 feet by 40 feet this year. I should never have agreed for him to get a rototiller that would go on the back of the tractor!

But I need is a big Greenhouse. But those are expensive. My plants tend to do better when started in the ground. Other than tomatoes and peppers, that’s how I do everything. And it is so much easier. No pots, no transplanting, I just have to run to farm supply on Monday and get more seeds :-)

We had thought about getting goats. But we would then have to put up fences because they’ll end up in the garden. Or eating my little baby Orchard. Or my blueberry plants! I haven’t thought of those yet. No, no goats I guess. I hope the Little Billy Goat doesn’t figure out where those are.

I remember worrying about fire in the Sierras. After we left there was a pretty big fire down the hill from us. It’s so sad when that happens. I heard that they told the locals that they had to evacuate, and then it became optional for our area. When they finally contained it.

Kids who want to look like “freaks” just don’t understand how off setting it is to most people.

They have every right to express themselves but so do others by not hiring them for certain jobs.

Years ago my husband had a really nice kid who during high school worked part-time for him. He joined the army right after school, mainly to get away from his crazy mom, then when he had served 2 years he was honerably discharged, fell in with some troubled kids, got tats all over himself even on his face. Would come over and bemoan that he ever got them as he couldn’t get a decent job. Really sad.

Wow, neat! I’ve only seen a Bear Once and he was stealing apples from our tree. That one must have been hungry if he was at your back door, and out during the day. Or maybe sick. Poor thing.

I encountered Bears a couple of times in the Sierras. Once when I was going for a walk. I was going down a trail and he turned out of the forest, and we just stared at each other, probably both of us thinking that this can’t really be happening. The second time one discovered that our bird feeder held some yummy food. He was bashing it like a pinata against the window. And then he came back the second night and was staring through the French door. Luckily he didn’t come back. I read a lot about bears after that, and was grateful we didn’t have Grizzlies around. But black bears are pretty docile and pretty scared of us. As long as they don’t become predatory.

It’s interesting living so close to wildlife but I’m always aware that I can’t let my guard down, especially in the spring when they have their young ones.

Hubby called Parks and Wildlife but they’re closed and it’s not an emergency (have no idea where the bear is now) so will call back on Monday.

The stories we hear are that most bears are afraid of people and run, but I don’t take chances with them! Lol!

Hopefully he’s already on his way to the wilderness.

:-)

I should never have agreed for him to get a rototiller that would go on the back of the tractor!

Men and their toys can be dangerous to our health.

That's a whole lot of garden, can see why starting in house would be space consuming.

My oldest daughter would have plants everywhere because our season is short and she had to get most started in house.

We better be careful, will be asked to take it to the garden thread. LOL Not really, that's one reason I so enjoy the TT thread, we talk about so much without fear of getting yelled at.

Now Pax, don't you dare!

If the FBI or DOJ was infiltrating a campaign for the benefit of another campaign, that is a really big deal. Only the release or review of documents that the House Intelligence Committee (also, Senate Judiciary) is asking for can give the conclusive answers. Drain the Swamp!

But it is smart to let Parks and Wildlife, Game and Fish here, know so if the bear becomes a nuisance they can relocate it.

Dolly...I just happened upon your post, regarding these threads, by accident.

First....please ping the entire crew, about this.

Second.....NOOOOOOooooOOOOOOoooo way do we stop the TT threads!! We’ve been through too much, together, from the first rally thread to all of the great fun we have, today.

I admit I haven’t been posting here (or elsewhere) as much as I used to. Too much work stuff going on. But, I LOVE catching up with everyone, when I can.

Thanks for all you and pax do to make these threads happen. I love the graphics, lysie’s breakfast, the news updates, Jeeves, the funnies and prayer/support we share....so please don’t even think about stopping this train.

For the love of POTUS....keep on, keep on rollin’!

I know it takes effort and I appreciate that effort, very much.

People told me they don’t like ammonia. So I put little mugs of it all over the back deck. The second night the bear came back he knocked one over stepped in it, and didn’t even notice.

So I have no words of wisdom to offer! lol!

Other than a bear whistle and bear spray. I always take those with me hiking. I’ve never used either and have no idea if they actually would help. I’m probably more likely to spray myself, so I’m glad I never had to test it.

Glad I saw this post, Jane. Thanks.

The TT thread and the Q thread are nothing alike. I drop in on the Q thread every once in awhile, but only when I’m in the mood for intrigue, not unlike picking up a mystery novel.

The TT thread, however, is the first thing I look at in the morning. I don’t always post, but I always check out breakfast, see how everyone is doing, etc. It’s fine when some Q info comes over to TT, just like all other information our wonderful family brings. It’s like different family members bringing news and information when we meet at the neighbourhood coffee shop.

I would miss the thread, Dolly. It may be just me, but I don’t feel “qualified” to be posting on Q - I prefer more of a kitchen table setting.
