Funny, a couple weeks ago I started watching old “roast” shows from the 1960s and 70s. The group of comedians was from both sides of the aisle. They would hit each other with political snipes, but it was all in fun, like their racial insults at each other. Everyone laughed uproariously. No one died or melted like a snowflake. No longer would a group of comedians even ALLOW A REPUBLICAN INTO THE ROOM. Maybe Schwarzenegger, who is barely R.

How did we (the Lefties, really) get so intolerant? We used to have friends on both sides, and maybe joke or gloat but it was as ACCEPTED a difference as being bald or having hair. No one doesn’t let Uncle Joe in at Christmas because his hairline is receding.

I don’t know either. I was watching some those Dean Martin Roasts a couple of weeks ago and they had me laughing in the floor. Some of the jokes were so UN PC people today would have a meltdown today.

They were roasting Sammy Davis Jr, and the non PC jokes were all over the place by everyone. We collectively have lost common sense and what is real comedy.
