It’s Carter Page. He was the subject of the FISA Warrant. He was a paid FBI informant/asset in a previous FBI investigation into a Russian oil company. He was planted into the campaign and then because he had so many Russian contacts (compliments of his work for the FBI) he suddenly became a security risk and had to be surveilled...and then everyone he spoke to, emailed or interacted with also conveniently became targets.

Carter Page was an 0bama Associate. He worked for the F.B.I. up through March of 2016, according to documentation demonstrated by Conservative Treehouse. In that capacity, he cozied up to RUSSIANS while working for the 0bama F.B.I.
Carter Page was emphatically NOT a Trump Associate. Having attempted to nuzzle up to the Trump campaign, Carter Page contributed $0.00 dollars to Trump, and managed to MISS the only scheduled meeting for the Trump committee he joined.
Indeed, Carter Page appears to be a dumb missile fired at the Trump Campaign by the F.B.I. in order to establish that SOMEONE, SOMEHOW ASSOCIATED WITH RUSSIA could be used to establish infinite FISA surveillance of the entire Trump communications chain.
I’ll bet the F.B.I. sent Page to Trump as a mole.

Page’s presence in the campaign facilitated the FISA Title 1 Surveillance-wiretapping- and e-mail grabs, Halper achieved nothing.

To issue the warrant, a federal judge concluded there was probable cause to believe that Page was a foreign agent knowingly engaging in clandestine intelligence for the Russian government. The initial 90-day warrant was subsequently renewed more than once.
The dossier alleges that Sechin offered Page the brokerage fee from the sale of up to 19 percent of Rosneft if he worked to roll back Magnitsky Act economic sanctions that had been imposed on Russia in 2012.
