Gee whiz. The Bakkers and PTL (and Heritage USA) were taken down by Pat Robertson over nothing... Some girls in a hot tub and a half-days’ worth of Heritage USA petty cash. The truth is the Bakkers weren’t any more “fake” than any other televangelist... They were just better at it, which made them a threat. PTL was THE FIRST viable satellite TV network... Believe it or not Tammy’s idea, wright from sock puppets and a desire to spread the Word.

Some was lousy and some not bad. But, they were clear they didn’t approve of him (and they have professed to be Christian in the past, though that doesn’t show in their show).
