I saw it made on TV shows plenty. Some local towns have festivals where the folks have an all day burgoo cooking. That would be the way to go. I understand venison used to be a main meat of choice. But like you said, it varies from cook to cook. Pretty much a stew of what is available.
It’s pretty much what the community brings in and cooks. (In a big ol pot)
