Some legal experts believe that two Justice Department opinions prohibit federal prosecutors, including Mueller, from charging a president with a crime. Instead, they said, the Constitution relies on Congress' power to impeach as the route to hold a president accountable for potentially criminal behavior.
Trump's lawyers could then argue that he cannot be forced to testify under subpoena, unless his testimony is necessary to indict someone else.

“Mueller has already decided Trump is guilty. Theyre just going thru the motions to pretend the process is legal. Theyll subpoena him, legal or not. It then doesnt matter if Trump honors the subpoena. If he doesnt, theyll charge him. If he does, then his answers dont matter. Hes already guilty. Coup complete.”
Except for the fact that you cannot indict a sitting president... this might be an idea.
I heard Jay Sekulow named as someone who took notes at meetings. Don’t know if there is an attempt to name him as the leaker.
He certainly is smarter than that and has a daily radio program if he wanted to put something out there.
Could this be an attempt to take down The Center For Law & Justice?
“..can Mueller force Trump, or anyone, to say what they were thinking?”
First, I would not talk to them under oath, there would be no cameras or stenographers, and every question would be answered “I don’t recall”.
If Mueller issues a subpoena it will become clear that he wants to take down a sitting President for no substantive reason and that is treason.touche
“.....Presidential issues aside, it seemed many of Muellers questions are about what Trump was thinking during a particular event. Is that something a court can compel ANYONE to testify to? Do we lose the privacy of our own thoughts when we take the stand?......”
By asking Trump what his thoughts are then Mueller wants to use that to establish INTENT toward obstruction on any thing else he wants to charge the President with.
After all, Hillary didn’t have Intent, but Trump will.
