Some legal experts believe that two Justice Department opinions prohibit federal prosecutors, including Mueller, from charging a president with a crime. Instead, they said, the Constitution relies on Congress' power to impeach as the route to hold a president accountable for potentially criminal behavior.
Trump's lawyers could then argue that he cannot be forced to testify under subpoena, unless his testimony is necessary to indict someone else.

“Instead, they said, the Constitution relies on Congress’ power to impeach as the route to hold a president accountable for potentially criminal behavior.”
I agree with this.
The Injustice Department has refused to release subpoenaed documents.
Tell Mueller to p!ss up the rope he’s hanging himself with.
Trump needs to tell Mueller to put up or shut up; tell Sessions to get this wrapped up in 30 days, else replace Mueller. Time to push back as they reasons for the special counsel was now discredited and it is no more than a partisan witch hunt.
Mueller has run out of BS so this is his last card to play.
A DoJ employee is going to drag the President in front of a Grand Jury for....what?
Telling his employee that he’s out of line?
Engaging in policies the employee doesn’t like?
Mueller’s megalomania has finally hit the wall: the reality of what he’s doing is apparent to everyone - this SOB is trying to pin a fake crime on the President of the United States....because he wouldn’t keep him and his buddies employed.
Gotta be part of the Gang, right Bob?
Otherwise yer Little People.
And no one wants to be that.
‘Specially not Bob and Jimmy.
The question itself is preposterous. The president can order the AG to fire Mueller. And they want us to think that POTUS is somehow beholden to Mueller’s whim? This is pure nonsense.
Presidential issues aside, it seemed many of Mueller’s questions are about what Trump was thinking during a particular event. Is that something a court can compel ANYONE to testify to? Do we lose the privacy of our own thoughts when we take the stand?
Can someone just say “I’ll tell you what I said, or what I did on any particular day, but what I was thinking at that time is my own business, and I refuse to answer that NOT based on my 5th Amendment self-incrimination protections, but on my natural right to privacy of my own thoughts, as protected under the 9th Amendment (”enumeration in the Constitution of certain rights shall not be construed to deny or disparage other rights retained by the people.”).
Every time Trump has a great week the Mueller boys disrupt things the next week...this always confirms it is about politics
Have at it Mulehead.
There will be pitchforks in DC.
This egomaniacal Mueller character has become nothing more nor less than a wart on the public butt.
If a tree falls in a forest and nobody is there to witness it, doesnthe falling tree make a sound?
Similarly, if am investigation is launched based on false information and the person under investigation points out that the investigation should never have been launched in the first place, is that obstruction?
Put differently, how does one obstruct am investigation that should never have happened in th first place?
Those questions are crap, and a subpoena to answer them is real crap. It’s all a smear campaign.
Forget presidential or even 5th Amendment issues, can Mueller force Trump, or anyone, to say what they were thinking? Ask what I said or did, but I have an expectation of privacy when I think, and isn’t the left glad SCOTUS found that privacy right? Plead the 9th!
Turn Giuliani loose on Mueller.
“Every time Trump has a great week the Mueller boys disrupt things the next week...this always confirms it is about politics”
Yep. Like clockwork...
Mueller and his entire team need to be arrested , charged with treason , tried and found guilty , marched to a gallows and hanged . Ok .... too strong ? Marched before a wall and shot . There , fixed it .
“Every time Trump has a great week the Mueller boys disrupt things the next week”
Yes, and these constant leaks are illegal. But who cares? Jeff Magoo Sessions clearly doesn’t.
Beat Mueller to the punch, we know he will try to cover their crimes by attacking trump, indict Mueller for His crimes..cancel his probe, tell dims to stfu
Yep. This is a hail Mary. This whole fiasco was to run the clock and entangle DJT.
...”because he wouldnt keep him and his buddies employed.”
No this is treason in the highest, if Mueller loses it could be a rope..not about employment, they have to indict the president to keep up the kabuki theater..beat them to the punch, fire mueller
