But special counsel Robert S. Mueller III responded that he had another option if Trump declined: He could issue a subpoena for the president to appear before a grand jury, according to four people familiar with the encounter.

If anything, if a subpoena is issued, he should make sure as many cameras are there as possible and plead the 5th citing that this is the most pathetic attempt to undermine a POTUS in history, WITH NO EVIDENCE. EMBARRASS THEM. As they ask questions, “I plead the 5th to this absolutely disgusting course of action that is against the American people. This isn’t gaining you votes.”. Or, “I plead the 5th, supported by millions of citizens that see this for exactly what it is.”. Etc. etc.
It would be epic and only the far left would think it hurts him. The rest of us would be cheering.

My impression is that he has no experience in trial court. He’s never had to defend a client in a court proceeding.

It's interesting to note that the longer Mueller's investigation continues, the more dirt about how it's being conducted seeps out, and it ain't pretty. I'm wondering if there isn't a method to President Trump's madness. The longer Mueller is allowed to continue, the bigger the chance his investigation will self-implode. That's just speculation on my part, but hey! you never know.
WHY has Mueller not interviewed James COMEY, the Hillary ass-kisser? Why has he not interviewed Rod Rosenstein, who WROTE the memo recommending Comey be FIRED?
Agree on drudge going to the dark side. He’s even becoming coy with his headlines as the links to the articles show in some cases the headline is a broad over statement.
Who is he kidding? He did the exact opposite when he signed at least one of the FISA warrant applications using an unverified fake dossier. If he’s done this with a warrant application, what other legal documents has he signed without admissible evidence and credible witnesses? Come on Rod...signing the FISA warrant can’t be the first time you violated the law.
I can’t even express the contempt I have for our Attorney General. He is either completely corrupt or completely inept. If he had a !@(*#ing SPECK of honor he would have quit months ago with the President publicly called him out for sucking at his job.
But those frigging assholes in the Senate puff out their chests and bloviate: “Oh, no! We WILL NOT TOLERATE you firing Jeff Sessions! He’s one of US!”. A pox on all of them.

All Drudge is doing is putting up what Mueller is doing. What is he supposed to do, ignore it? He doesnt have to agree with any of this. Carrying or linking to the news that Mueller is looking to indict the President does not mean he supports this assault.
Whatever the number of leakers are, I hope Trump fires their collective a$$es tomorrow.
