Rap mogul Kanye West has confounded the music and entertainment industry over the past week for his embrace of pro-Trump policies, activists and campaign gear, and Maxine Waters thinks he should just shut up.
Kanyes swing to the right has not been received well by those on the other side of the aisle.
On Monday, Yeezy was back at it, tweeting statements from other people about Republicans freeing slaves and the perils of the welfare state and socialism.
Rep. Maxine Waters was asked by Politico about the rappers recent embrace of mainstream conservatism.
She responded by saying that West talks out of turn and that he should think twice about politics, and maybe not have so much to say.
Her full quote, according to Politico:
Kanye West is a very creative young man who has presented some of the most revolutionary material in the African-American community. But we also think that sometimes Kanye West talks out of turn and perhaps sometimes he needs some assistance in helping him to formulate some of his thoughts. We dont think that he actually means to do harm, but were not sure he really understands the impact of what hes saying, at the time that hes saying it and how that weighs on, particularly the African American community and for young people in general. And I think maybe he should think twice about politics, and maybe not have so much to say.
Waters was named one of the nations most corrupt members of congress by the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.
Wow, that’s a true Soviet bitch right there.
She done gone and accused him of a thought crime.
Exactly.
She just wants them all to be step and fetch its’.
Hey Marxine, but it’s OK for the Hollywood POS actors/actresses to talk politics?
I see no hypocrisy there at all. /s/
‘he should think twice about politics, and maybe not have so much to say.’
Maxine,
I’d be surprised if you’ve ever once had a cogent thought about politics.
Kanye makes a whole lot more sense than you do.
Do us all a favor and retire to enjoy your ill-gotten gains!
Hollywood says what it wants Maxine.
Maxine has the need to be embarrassed but doesn’t realize it. She reminds me of a woman I heard about that walked out of an airport restroom trailing toilet paper.
I wish she would run for president.
Democrat overseer Mad Maxine reminds Kanye that he doesn’t have massa’s permission to speak.
Seems to me that Maxine was speaking like a racist. “Rappers should not speak about politics”???? In other words. you rappers are too dumb and should keep your place in the world and not speak out of turn.
Am I right in thinking Rappers are primarily African Americans?
Kanye West is a very creative young man who has presented some of the most revolutionary material in the African-American community.
Say hello to the revolution, Maxine.
He’s got a place in so-cal right? It might not be the same district, but I would pay good money to see him debate her for “her seat”, run Kanye run!!!
“Shut up!”, she explained.
To quote Kanye: “Lol, sheeit, that bitch be crazy.”
Nice collage, big Dave. Like it a lot.
Maxine Waters shouldn’t dictate free speech and thought control. Oh, I forgot she’s a communists they can’t help themselves.
This senile old sow would not have been elected even once if her constituents had had a fraction of Mr. West’s critical thinking capacity. Instead, it is pretty obvious that the only acquaintance with newspapers they have had is to line a litter box or wrap fish with them. They probably get their “news” from The View and other idiotic sources. That’s the only reason a deadbeat Chatty Cathy motormouth like her would be able to hang on to her job. That’s why she told him to keep quiet—she can’t handle blacks ready to bust out and leave the dummocrap plantation. They outflank her on all fronts.
Maxine Waters wishes Kanye would remember that, to talk politics, you have to be a confirmed chowderhead.
Thanks.
The collage tells us the reality behind what is in the public realm.
