I LOVE escargot. I wish more restaurants would serve them. Alas, the one classy restaurant where I used to be able to get them stopped serving them. Guess I was the only one who ever ordered them.
Still, I'm not sure I'd put them on a pizza, although since they are typically cooked in butter and garlic, I think they would work better than pineapple.

I had escargot on a pizza in France near the Belgian border about 20 years ago. I had the impression that it was not uncommon. This was a small blue collar lunch spot in the country.
