Depends on the service. Ancestry gives you an ethnicity “estimate” which varies person to person. Keep in mind migrations and that ethnicity and nationality are 2 very different things.
You also get a list of other users who match to you. These can range from parent/child to distant cousin. This is the service that is spot on accurate and of most use to those persons looking for family. I found my birth father. I verified my birth mother. Neither of them were required to test, it was done triangulating the matches. Well, actually I got a 1st cousin match on maternal side, so that required little further work. Of course, once I made contact I did verify my none id info with them.
