NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Police are investigating a vicious dog attack that was caught on camera in the subway.
A pit bull latched onto a passenger’s foot and wouldn’t let go.
Now, people are wondering why the animal was on the train in the first place.
The radio here in NYC is reporting that the woman’s SHOE was attacked, not her foot. I assume that means she wasn’t hurt. Outside of a seeing eye dog, I’ve never seen a dog or any animal in a subway car. Have seen rats on the tracks, though.
Poodles are responsible for more bites than pit bulls.
And if it had been her arm, they would have reported her shirt sleeve was attacked? Absurd.
I knew a woman who carried her little dog in her purse everywhere she went. Suspected for a while and finally found out she didn’t have any doctor’s report for it. She just wanted to carry it and hollered at anyone who asked why. Always felt sorry for the dog being cooped up all the time.
And if it had been her neck, they would have reported her scarf was attacked? Absurd.
What they were saying (I don’t know if it is true) was that she wasn’t hurt. That’s usually part of any news report.
That totally dismisses that the owner ultimately could not control is dog.
A dog is going to run into people, some going about their business and others jerks. If you have a vicious breed, there is no excuse, no blame to go around. It is the owner and the dog only. The condition in public is known.
Why don’t you repeat it for every body part - but, please, do it with someone dumb enough to read your posts.
While I don’t approve of animals on the subway, outside of seeing eye dogs, I think the pit bull gets a very bad rap based on drug dealers and other baddies who train them to maim.

I was given special soap to shower with prior to surgery but the had dogs going around the surgery waiting room licking people.
Sorry if I can’t handle dogs licking their butts and then licking me before I go into surgery.
