Honestly, I had my doubts. The court cannot permit the precedent to be set. Then they lose their tyrannical grip on power over the people.
Much more information at the link.
Ping.
How can the government tell a parent that they cannot move their child to another hospital or country?
heartbreaking were here again arguing when all we want to do is the best for Alfies family.
If that’s the case then let the family take the child home or to Italy.
...only after extensive discussion and consideration?
!
Translation: If we can screw around long enough, the kid will die, and the point wiil be moot. NHS shall triumph.
May a merciful God tamper with their cynical designs, and speed Alfie to a place that does love life more than raw political dominance.
BULL!
Once they allow Alfie to go home the Judge has no authority to restrict the parents from flying him anywhere.
When the government has become oppressive and more about itself than the people.
No, no, no.
Only the government knows what’s best for the family.
I see that Alfie is a white male offspring of a heterosexual couple.
No wonder the UK feels it can condemn him to death and prevent anyone from saving him!
The UK has really gone south!
I think the greatest fear of these physician bureaucrats and judges is that if they allow a sick child out of their grip, that one might receive beneficial treatment elsewhere and they will end up being proven to be the inhuman, monster bureaucrats that they have become.
A socialist utopian one.
Evil. Evil. Evil. The evil of bureaucracy and courts. The process is more important than the people.
At this point the UK wants the child to die. If they let him go to Italy and he is helped it would just expose what the NHS is all about and they can’t have that. They are now invested in his death.
“How can the government tell a parent that they cannot move their child to another hospital or country?”
When the government pays for everything, the governments word is law. Parents be damned, the state decides.
When the government owns the guns, as it does in Britain, the government owns YOU.
Socialized ‘medicine’ = death panels.
The holy wrath of Single Payer healthcare. That's how. Ever listen when Ronald Reagan was Talking? Government run healthcare is the most evil conspiracy to ever be weaponized. Imagine the deep swamp using that weapon? They dream of it. We are costs and costs need to be reduced.
“I think the greatest fear of these physician bureaucrats and judges is that if they allow a sick child out of their grip, that one might receive beneficial treatment elsewhere and they will end up being proven to be the inhuman, monster bureaucrats that they have become.”
Ding ding!
That’s what I’m thinking. He’s off life support. Take him out of the hospital and go to Italy asap and take him to the ER there.
The docs won’t let him leave. He’s a ward of “the state”, basically.
