Claire McCaskill is a viscous and cunning partisan who will gleefully destroy anyone who gets in her way. I don’t consider her to be particularly smart, but she makes up for whatever lack of intellect she may have, with a complete lack of integrity, scruples, or willingness to fight fair.
Hawley trails by McCaskill by four points, thanks in part to her nasty ads plastered over the St. Louis and Kansas City TV landscape. Given the problems that the Republicans face with the Missouri Governor, McCaskill must believe that she can do what she has done in previous races, win by any means necessary.
