I choose divorce and hope that it is an amicable one.

We can not live with them any longer and continue to pay for an out of control and corrupt government. We are forced to pay for their loony ideas and schemes that never work.

We have their bizarre culture shoved down our throats and their idiocy teaching our children. They are attempting to strip us of our identity and strip us of our religion. They would strip us of our faith if they could.

We are mocked and belittled by the media, the entertainment industry and yes, by the very people who are elected to represent us. This can not go on...we just can’t live with them anymore.

"I choose divorce and hope that it is an amicable one."

How do you divide a country like ours? There are pockets of leftists in every red state including the south and west. Both Coasts are loaded with leftists and there are also pockets of conservatives on both coasts.

We can't loose nor let them win by default but thank you for your thoughts on the subject. As long as we are talking and battling with ideas, we are less likely to kill one another.

Dunno in an amicable “divorce” is possible... the “Blue” spouse is used to taking the resources (aka: taxes) of the “Red” spouse to live on an promote their agenda. So in the divorce the “Blue” will demand a HUGE “alimony” payment... cause the rich billionaires promoting this “Progressive” tyranny don’t plan to spend much of their resources to fund this “new Blue” Socialist “Utopia”.

Cause in truth... “Blue” America has the mindset of the Plantation “owner”... with “Red” America being the slaves. Cause bottom line Socialism is much like an Old South slave plantation. “Owners” in the mansion on the hill and slaves in the mud huts. Your truth lesson for today.

"If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand." From the Book of Mark by way of Abe, which seems fitting.

Check your premises, folks.

The left wants divorce because they aren't willing to accept any election they don't win. However, divorce to a lib means that they go their own way...but not you. What's theirs is theirs, what's yours is ours. Imagine a spouse who wants a divorce, yet refuses to move out.

If I believe that smoking is bad for my health, I quit. If a lib believes that smoking is bad for their health, no one will be allowed to smoke. Libs have no principles in the sense we understand the word, only causes. They only support that which advances the cause, as long as it advances the cause.

IOW, they claim an inherent right to tell everyone else how to live their lives.

There's no middle ground. It seems inevitable to me that at some point those who seek to live their own lives will face a choice...live free or die. Submit or fight. Those who would run your life will accept nothing less. Give them California, Oregon, Washington State, etc...you're feeding the alligator.

If as I believe that point is inevitable, we who have made the choice should execute it at a time and manner of our choosing, not theirs.

IMO, divorce would only work if done King Henry style.

Well said.

We are mocked and belittled by the media,...

This cannot be overemphasized. We have a free press, but not even close to a fair press.

The gubbamint is too corrupt, too intrusive, too expensive, too encompassing, too controlling....we will never be able to shrink this behemoth back to a manageable level. This WAS our gubbamint, we've lost it.

Just my lil ol pinion.

That would be the least bloody option - for now. Eventually, though, we'd be facing the equivalent of Castro's Cuba (multiplied), right across a border on the same land mass. We'd better make damned sure that nothing of military or strategic value is left behind in the ceded territory.
