Sen. Bernie Sander (I-VT) declared in a New York Times interview on Friday that President Trump’s agenda will be “dead” if Democrats win the majority in the House or Senate in 2018. “If Democrats control either the House or the Senate, Trump’s agenda is dead,” Sanders told the Times.
Sanders aimed at Democrat Party fundraising organizations, such as the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), for not supporting progressive grassroots candidates.
“The establishment Democrats are still, I think, looking toward candidates who can self-fund,” Sanders said.
Sanders gained a foothold in the 2016 Democratic primary against Hillary Clinton by raising money for his presidential campaign mainly through small-dollar donations.

The Dems can win because there are so many (at least on FR) who hate the GOP and will sit home, allowing the Dems to win by default like they do every off year election.
These ‘Republicans’Consservative’ are motivated only to sit home not to vote - because they have upset tummies at not getting a perfect GOP, so they will take their Tums and watch from the luxury of some prison camp feeling just fine and all smirky with puffy chests about what they did.
The Dems on the other hand are very motivated to vote, regardless of candidate, platform etc. They just want DJT impeached or so weakened he cannot win 2020. And then the fun Bernie want will begin.

That is exactly what the GOP needs to do, nationalize the election and make it a Trump referendum.
After all, career RINOs have been pretty good at supporting minority Dems in continuing to ignore the voices of the people by helping Dems to not only obstruct Pres. Trump’s vision for MAGA, but also to increase national debt.
On the other hand, to make Trump’s vision for MAGA last for many generations, patriots now need to be doing the following.
Patriots should be making sure that there are plenty of state sovereignty-respecting, Trump-supporting patriots on the 2018 primary ballots, and pink-slip career lawmakers by sending patriot candidate lawmakers to DC on election day.
And until the states wake up and repeal 17A, as evidenced by concerns about the integrity of the outcome of Alabama's and Pennsylvania's special elections, patriot candidates need to win elections by a large enough margin to compensate for possible deep state ballot box fraud, associated MSM scare tactics, and interference from people like Soros.

What concerns me most is the notion that the Dems would be competitive anywhere. And as long as hard core leftism is any part of the political equation, I will remain concerned.

It isn’t about DJT, or whether he delivers or not, its about who controls the House and Senate - losing them in the mid-terms, DJT is not going to do much with the remainder of his term, except fight off impeachment And so will likely be fatally weakened by 2020.
You have been warned, people. The path to the voting booth is once more strewn with broken glass, and you shall have to crawl over that broken glass yet one more time.
Now is not the time to get all morally pure and sensitive to nuances that for our opposition, simply do not exist. This time, the Republicans really do have a legacy, however flawed, that must be protected, because the looming alternative is much, much worse. Restoration of regulations that have been vacated, return of confiscatory tax rates, and criminalization of the conservative principles rooted in the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Donald Trump would either be removed from office, or his tenure made irrelevant by massive resistance from a Democrat majority in either the the House or the Senate, and were pseudo-liberals to become a majority in both the House and Senate, the United States of America would become ungovernable.
Command and control may at first seem to be an “efficient” way to set up a government, but it quickly runs into many contradictions and inconsistencies that have to be contained by massive assertion of brute force.
