Attorney General Jeff Sessions recently told the White House he might have to leave his job if President Trump fired his deputy, Rod J. Rosenstein, who oversees the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, according to people familiar with the exchange.
Sessions made his position known in a phone call to White House counsel Donald McGahn last weekend, as Trumps fury at Rosenstein peaked after the deputy attorney general approved the FBIs raid April 9 on the presidents personal attorney Michael Cohen.

Makes you wonder if Sessions has the faintest hint of a clue just how deeply despised he has become to his formerly strong supporters. Then again, he may just be so sanctimoniously self-righteous, he simply does not give a damn.
Yes, it makes you wonder. I have a Grima Wormtongue theory of what’s going on. The scuttle is that Trump called Sessions an idiot to his face (for recusing without giving his boss any inkling of what he intended to do). This put Sessions in a massive snit, Senators, being used to royal treatment.
Enter Rosenstein. He sympathizes with Sessions, strokes his ego and overall makes his boss feel like a king again. Sessions is profoundly moved and grateful.
In my scenario Rosenstein continues to fulfill this role. He likely scours social media—I should say his aides do—for any kind of Sessions-praise. He periodically buoys his boss with the results. Rosenstein is, iow, the single most important person in charge of keeping Sessions’ ego pumped.
As I’ve often postulated, this is also the role of Q. With the TRUST SESSIONS, trust Wray, trust the plan mantra, Q is a profoundly strong force in maintaining support for Sessions. The only DC faction for whom this would be paramount is the Deep State. I.e.: Q is a pro-Rosenstein/pro-Mueller Deep State psyops.

It is hard to argue against your position, which makes me very quite uneasy. DJT and the Deplorables are not out of the woods by a long shot. If they get DJT, make no mistake, we are next. I believe they want us all dead, no exaggeration. Commies kill.
For DJT to call in Rudy indicates to me that Mueller/Rosenstein/Sessions have landed a very potentially lethal blow with their Cohen raid. Rudy would only agree to help if it were that serious, IMO.

I meant “which makes me quite uneasy.” Sorry.
I believe you are 100% right. Giuliani would not be coming to Trump’s aid unless the situation were dire. And it’s difficult to argue otherwise. Every location where Cohen—likely one of Trump’s closest confidants—kept records was surprise/no-knock raided. Who knows what they got. But not long thereafter Rudy agreed to try to pry Mueller’s death grip from the limitless fishing expedition.
We can only hope and pray he succeeds. The swamp has never been threatened to this degree before. Like a cornered animal they are in survival mode. This bodes ill for the rest of us.
Yes, the situation is now dire. These people are truly domestic terrorists, in that they are directly targeting the core of our Republic.
I think POTUS realizes this. What I hope he has, though, is the courage to implement the extraordinary powers he has, under the upgraded Patriot Act, to take out all of these threats. There are thousands, perhaps millions, of people actively working to undermine him, us, and our Republic.
I can think of no other person than DJT who has more courage, strength, or bravery to take what some may deem extreme measures, but IMO, the survival of the Republic is going to depend upon it.
I’m with you re the seriousness of the threat. I’m praying for Trump and also for his advisors. My biggest hope, apart from prayer, is Giuliani. If he succeeds there is a light at the end of the tunnel. If he fails we’re in deep, deep trouble.
Yes...and even if Giuliani succeeds, the attacks won’t stop, they will just take another form until one side or the other is extinguished. It’s the age-old Good vs. Evil theme.
This is where I envision Sheriff Clarke coming on board, to head up a team who will track down and deal with each one of these traitors....(because history has shown us, “Commies never die...they just regroup”!)
Oh—Sheriff Clarke—that is a great idea. He’d be a big gun. If Giuliani pries the 800 lb gorrila off Trump’s back, I hope Clarke comes onboard to help with the ongoing battle.
Obama's first appointment as Secretary of Transportation was Ray LaHood, a RINO. The younger Bush selected Norman Mineta, a Democrat, as his first appointment for this position. I must wonder what motivated Trump to select the wife of a RINO to the post.
Didn’t Obama appoint his own “Czars” and gave them power to do whatever he wanted, circumventing Cabinet appointees? I seem to remember him doing this, although I may be wrong.
McConnell’s wife’s family is powerful and extremely wealthy. I imagine DJT wanted McConnell’s cooperation and thought appointing his wife would be an olive branch. McConnell is an odious and powerful snake.
IMO, everything rests on the midterm elections. If patriots give DJT a traitor-proof result, watch our man be unleashed!
