The Justice Department inspector general is now conducting an investigation into classification issues related to the Comey memos, according to a person familiar with the matter. Mr. Comey has said he considered the memos personal rather than government documents. He has told Congress that he wrote them and authorized their release to the media “as a private citizen...”

I gave thought today to Comey trying to blackmail or otherwise try and coerce Trump. That’s why he brought up the Dossier information to Trump as an “I thought you like to know” deal.
So if it’s a personal memo, it’s ok to put classified material in it and leak it to the press. I see.
He must be kicking himself right now! All Comey had to do was tell the press that President TRUMP is NOT under investigation like he told TRUMP several times! TRUMP was urging Comey to do it already!
TRUMP got pissed waiting forever for Comey to tell the Press & decided to just fire his ass!
I have thought all along that McCabe and Comey were going to prison....

That’s been the report for months. Which is why this should have been dealt with months ago.
But, apparently, lying to Congress isn’t that big a deal, but lying (or lacking candor) to an FBI agent is enough to ruin your life. I know Mike Flynn pretty well and have for almost 25 years. I have to say that, among all of the people I know, he’s at the top of the list of people I consider least likely to lie. When he came back to DC to take over DIA he was a fish out of water, a professional soldier in a battalion of politicians - precisely because he was more than willing to speak the truth.
