The Democratic National Committee filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit Friday against the Russian government, the Trump campaign and the WikiLeaks organization alleging a far-reaching conspiracy to disrupt the 2016 campaign and tilt the election to Donald Trump.
The complaint, filed in federal district court in Manhattan, alleges that top Trump campaign officials conspired with the Russian government and its military spy agency to hurt Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and help Trump by hacking the computer networks of the Democratic Party and disseminating stolen material found there.
“During the 2016 presidential campaign, Russia launched an all-out assault on our democracy, and it found a willing and active partner in Donald Trump’s campaign,” DNC Chairman Tom Perez said in a statement.
“This constituted an act of unprecedented treachery: the campaign of a nominee for President of the United States in league with a hostile foreign power to bolster its own chance to win the presidency,” he said.

Oh yeah. By the way, let’s start thinking about mandatory counterclaims. There’s the conspiracy to defraud, i.e., paying for the dossier, there are the leaks from the admin, there is the improper “money laundering” to allow donors to donate in excess of limitations, and that’s just a start. Those counterclaims come with discovery of their own. The server, there reasons for refusing to turn the server over, and Seth Rich, are just the start of the counter discovery. This one is going to leave a mark.
They’ve no proof of collusion and they’re suing Trump for winning!
I call that the Hail Mary’s play of losers.
If they win, what’s the remedy? Trump is ordered to resign?
What a bold move to overturn an election result they don’t like.

That won't take much trying.
Since Mueller can't find any evidence of collusion with Russia, they will have a hard time coming up with any factual evidence that a court would believe.
Pretty ballsy of the loser DNC to sue the opposition because they lost. This is a desperate effort by Tom Perez and his Muslim partner, to absolve Hillary's lack of responsibility for losing a rigged election.
They can't win by getting the votes. They want to win by suing Hillary's phantom ghosts of her two-time loser past.
Yes, they are trying to vacate the election results. If they win the suit - they’ll press to delegitimize the election and demand Trump and the GOP stand down for stealing the election.
This is calling for civil war.
This is a damn dangerous game they’re playing but it’s been done before... Venezuela, Cuba, China, Russia, Germany... how do you think these countries governments were overturned within the span of a few years?

The Dems are already deep in debt with contributions drying up. How will they pay legal fees? If I were the firm representing them, I’d make them pay upfront.
And watergate was an actual potential crime by the president of the US while in office.

This might explain the markets today...not that anyone believes that this will go anywhere...but it’s a big distraction from what should be good economic news, which perhaps is the whole reason for the suit in the first place. Cause uncertainty in the markets, blame Trump and ensure victory in November. With no evidence they know the lawsuit isn’t going anywhere, that is not the point.

yes, if they can cause the markets to slide and then blame Trump. Today’s narrative is already blaming Trump for market losses in the energy sector because of his Opec tweet..the markets hate uncertainty. If this whole mess went away the markets would rally and the democrats can’t have that..
