Another wave of high school walkouts is expected as students honor victims of gun violence and push for gun control on the anniversary of the Columbine High School shooting.
Organizers say more than 2,600 demonstrations are planned from Maine to Hawaii to commemorate the 19th anniversary of the shooting that left 13 people dead in Littleton, Colorado.
Ahead of the walkout, a 'Vote for Our Lives' rally and vigil was held in Littleton to remember victims of high school shootings, including the one that took place in Parkland, Florida on February 14.

Thank God summer vacation is in a month, so the media will be forced to this a rest for a little while.
rumors were going around yesterday that our schools here in TX were going to allow this to happen. One call to the superintendents office put a stop to that crap. if they walk out, they are on their own and will suffer the consequences. I asked my son if he understood this and why his classmates wanted to do this, he replied “propaganda”. That’s my boy!

I would take the high school students more seriously if they ‘walked out’ at the end of the school day to protest on their own time instead of trying to get out of class.

Yes, the last walkout in March and the $5,000,000 D.C. rally have already been forgotten by the bulk of the American public, but this time it’s for real! Americans will be showing up in droves to their local police stations to voluntarily surrender all their guns tomorrow for sure this time.
The high skool kiddos will be getting summer jobs this year, Soros will be paying more rent-a-mobsters obviously because it is an election year.
I think the extent of this “protest” is being exaggerated.
My 7 year old daughter caught a bit on the local news about this before she left for school. I heard her mumble “idiots”.
At least we did one thing right.
