President Trump endorsed Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., in the race for the U.S. Senate and vowed to campaign alongside her.
.@MarshaBlackburn is a wonderful woman who has always been there when we have needed her. Great on the Military, Border Security and Crime. Loves and works hard for the people of Tennessee. She has my full endorsement and I will be there to campaign with her! Trump tweeted Thursday.
Blackburn is running for the seat currently held by Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., a critic of Trump who is retiring at the end of his term, against former Democratic Gov. Phil Bredesen.

I certainly hope so. The rats put up a 75 year old ex-gov. What’s in it for him? He should be enjoying his grandchildren. Instead he lives for this $hit. We have a few of them on our side. He wins and what if he’s in the minority like Joe Mancin, another 70 year old? Ok, so she’s 63. Maybe she should pass the torch. Both parties are infected the rats more than the gop.
The Bush League Republicans will help the Democrat win.
It’s what they do when the citizens have a nominee that will represent them instead of illegal aliens and their employers.
Middle Tennessee State University did a survey giving Bresdnen a 10% lead over Marsha Blackburn I think according to a post here last month. Well that school’s history was formerly a black college. Of course they don’t mention that in WIKI. The description that they seek diversity is they seek non-black students is a big clue. The university is loaded with extreme left academics.
Friends of ours, Caucasian daughter, got a scholarship there(remember seeking diversity). They went to visit the campus and were shocked at how awful the buildings and campus looked. She recently graduated from Mississippi State University and the difference was A+ for MS and a F- for Middle TN University.
So be warned on any fear mongering polls.
We have a 71 year old president who will be 75 when he runs for re-election. That kind of takes age out of the race.
It's way too early to be taking polls seriously. But Bredesen did win two state-wide elections during a period when Tennessee had rapidly been turning Republican. He isn't going to be an easy person to beat. Blackburn will have to run a tight, focused, error-free race.
This is going to be a tough one. Bredesen is very popular across the state, and governed as a “conservative Democrat”. This will not be won by talking about tax cuts. Guns and immigration, or this seat is lost. Trump can help, and Blackburn will really need to hit the trail hard. She is not nearly as well-known across the state as Bredesen.
The focus would need to be against Schumer and Pelosi. No matter how “moderate” Bresden claims to be, he’s running to help Schumer and Pelosi control the agenda and that certainly isn’t “moderate.”
Why not? Bredesen is embracing Pelosi’s comments that the tax cuts were “crumbs.” That creates quite an opening to connect him to her.
