We saw some crumbs. And the locals promptly jacked our taxes and confiscated a large chunk of it.

Thank the William “Bedsheets” Byrd Amendment mandating revenue neutrality for giving middle class Americans a “blanket party” they’ll never forget.

And from which the GOP will likely never recover.

Fellow taxpayers in low prop tax states should not be forced to subsidize high prop tax states through the prop tax deduction.

BTW, I live in NYS and own a home.

I would think the cap on deducting local and state taxes took a big bite, as well. But I agree, rich liberals beg to have their taxes increased, so they should be delighted.

Between tariffs and new federal revenue like this the USA may have a budget surplus.

Yes, “Liberal” Californians don’t get spooked by the scare tactics that folks in your state will pay more in federal taxes. That actually will apply most to the “one percenters” in your state and not the vast majority. In fact since most of you don’t itemize your deductions, but take the standard deduction, you’re getting a tax break.

Do the math! That’s a whopping $1200 per person. Peanuts, really.

Well, sure. You can’t be a progressive without being generous with your vote and other people’s money.

“”Very wealthy Californians earning more than $1 million a year will pay the lion’s share of that money, with 43,000 of them paying a combined $9 billion. “”

Isn’t that the way it should be?
