Israeli officials cited in a Ynetnews report characterized the missile strike on Friday by the US, the UK, and France on suspected chemical weapons facilities in Syria as a failure.
Multiple Israeli government and military sources suggested the strike was not effective in hurting Syria's ability to conduct chemical attacks.
These officials also criticized President Donald Trump's talking about the strike beforehand.
The latest strike most likely didn't change anything on the battlefield in Syria, and it's hard to know how much of the chemical weapons stockpile it hit.

Needless to say, no Trump fans there...
Feel free...the truth is painful and we are in denial about the Iran/Russia/Hizbollah/ISIS/Syrian threats...
Well, this is where we diverge I think.
President Trump is not in denial about Iran/Hezbollah/Isis.
Q, blessing be upon him, teaches us that [Iran] is next. MAnd Russia may be less of a threat than you think. Consider that they stood down and moved assets away from target areas. That implies Trump and Putin cooperated in the strikes. Russia hits ISIS simultaneously.
It's my theory that Russia no longer backs Iran and is helping us whack ISIS, while Saudi and the lesser Arab states are now allied against Iran.
Iran stands alone, and they are next. This is my working theory. Watch and see in the days to come if I'm full of dooky.
The Donald is going to do to Iran what he did to Saudi and North Korea.
Best President EVER.
p.s. You are right though. Many people are in denial, just not the people that matter.
I know that Pres. Trump is not in denial but he is limited by what he can do after 8 years of Obama who through away many US assets.
We are hemmed in by the nuclear agreement and our loss of power, prestige and projection as a super power 2009-2016. Note that Iran began to make major moves after Obama signed the Nuclear Agreement and gave them Billions of Dollars.
Why does your theory state that Russia is no longer helping Iran?
The Iranians have built and entire network of air bases and missile factories under the Russians’ and Syrians’ noses in Syria. Israel knows this and is now gearing up for attacks.
I hope Iran will be cornered by the Donald but with 100,000 Hizbollah missiles aimed at Israel from Lebanon and now from Syria. I have my doubts about whether Iran can be stopped before she gets the bomb too...
I think that a ten minute Berlitz course in Hebrew makes for poor translating skills. Stick to Japanese.
As for my translation, it’s simple. This strike didn’t do the job of degrading Syria’s chemical arsenal.
Facts are facts. If the facts insult you, don’t blame the messenger.
As for what to do, that’s up to Trump, not Israeli intelligence. He violated his own doctrine in announcing his move in advance. Does that mean he should violate it further and punch the tar baby with his free hand as well? Or unstick his stuck hand and call it quits.
Maybe Macron has it right. International community “honor” has been “upheld,” whoopdeedoo. End of story for now.
In my perfect world, The Donald worked with regional powers China, Japan, South Korea, and others to bring Rocket Man to his knees and he will reunite with South Korea and abandon his nuclear weapons.
What we are seeing in the Middle East is the same strategy. Working with the Chinese equivalent, Saudi, and other regional powers, including Israel, Iran will be brought to it's knees. Keep in mind they also have a civilian uprising and economic problems to deal with as we speak. They now face the entire region relatively alone.
Now this is the part of my theory I'm totally pulling out of my butt, but bear with me here. Were I the Donald, strategic mastermind and proven deal maker that he is, I would offer Russia the pipeline they so desire in exchange for abandoning Iran and helping subdue the mad dogs of the Middle East. Pooty has an interest in tamping down Islamic expansionsism. And do we really care if he gets his pipeline?
Anyway, that's my reasoning and how I see things with my magic eight ball.
Watch and see if I'm right. If I'm not, you can throw rocks at me after school.
it their attention i guarantee you it did.trump wants out of syria
And bombing empty warehouses.. Why are we in Syria.. its European gas pipeline? Um, no. Time to leave.
I did see the chemical attack victims on CBN.. there were men wearing fatigue bottoms mixed in. It’s just had to know who to believe.
Do you happen to remember where you read it?
A fake attack begs a fake attack.
Israel putting out bait to let the US pay for the storm they helped instigate. Don’t take the bait President Trump.
I wrote the same before I read your astute post.
Israel is an ally in talk only. Well, they also accept many billions annually in aid and our latest weaponry.
You think Israeli intelligence analysts are going to speak on the record... even to an Israeli newspaper? Cmon
You would prefer them to lie to us?
The raid blew up a lot of stuff. A lot of unimportant stuff.
A great friend tells you when you are not doing something well.
This was a great, technically perfect, raid based on mediocre intelligence.
