Israeli officials cited in a Ynetnews report characterized the missile strike on Friday by the US, the UK, and France on suspected chemical weapons facilities in Syria as a failure.
Multiple Israeli government and military sources suggested the strike was not effective in hurting Syria's ability to conduct chemical attacks.
These officials also criticized President Donald Trump's talking about the strike beforehand.
The latest strike most likely didn't change anything on the battlefield in Syria, and it's hard to know how much of the chemical weapons stockpile it hit.

Agreed. If our blood and treasure aren’t enough for you contribute some of your own. It’s your neighborhood, not ours, and you should pay first.
Trump’s actions are calculated differently than Obama’a woud be or George Bush’s would be. Trump is placing markers on the board for others, for Iran and Russia, for instance, and for China. The first strike he made was similar. He did not do a lot of damage but China and Korea reacted as Trump desired them to act. They read his tea leaves properly. He is showing them that he will react on provocation and is capable of doing a lot of damage. The Russians know that the punch was “pulled” but they know what it could have done. The thing is it was not militarily necessary to do real damage to the Syrians but it was necessary to show others that Trump actually can punch and will. I suspect that Trump knows that our putative “allies” in the region among the rebel groups would be no better running things than Assad. He doesn’t need to promote them materially but he does need to publicly stick his finger in the Iranian and Russian eye.
A proper quid pro the quo.

ouch
“It’s insulting. “
Maybe.
But it’s true too.
Nothing was accomplished except to assuage the emotions of the sensitive western population of do-gooders.
Ah from the NeverTrumpers at Business Insider.
Business Insider, now a partner with President Trump-Hater ultra-liberal Yahoo in reporting “the news”.
Keep that in mind, too.
bump
Yup.
Sounds like it was a successful Kabuki strike. Well done.
Anonymous official, also, of course, Israel would rather us do more about their enemies.
Beware of Business Insider. It’s not Investors Business Daily.
Just sayin’.
There appears to he a definate shortage of real facts regarding this mission.
“These officials also criticized President Donald Trump’s talking about the strike beforehand.”
History will show that President Trump’s strategies led America to victory in the Syrian War.
Third hand news as usual. I know a guy that said that other guy said wxyz...
Journalism is dead.
I know. When you see the actual article, it is a lot less critical of the attack that the BI headline suggests.
Business Insider is leftist. Period. Never trust and double verify.
Israel does not want others fighting their battles but this tiny country, representing the sum total of Western values stands alone, or nearly alone in front of Russia, Syria, Iran, Hizbollah, HAMAS, Islamic Jihad, PLO and a myriad of other murderous terror armies and militias.
What might come off as alarmist or trying to get assistance from the US or Europe is not just a ploy. The Israelis (and Jews everywhere) are the “Canary bird in the world’s cultural mine”. Historically, this is true.
They also keep trying to wake us all up to the looming threats from Iran. These are not false alarms, they are very real.
Israel keeps trying to bring these issues up and issues warnings to the rest of us that Iran seeks to destroy not only them but, eventually, us as well.
So we shouldn’t just brush off their so-called “fake news” or trying to drag us into THEIR conflict as THEIR conflict is, truly our conflict as well, despite our denial.
May I cosign?
