Pencil line drawn on a hot section blade and it will crack right on the line after a few tens of hours.

Yep, as explained in an excellent manner in #18, but isn’t the housing made of steel?

My motivation to bash the Chinese is laid out in #148. I am prejudiced for good reason.

By brother(RIP) was at McDill in fifties when a B47 ignited out both ends of engine, on engine start-up. When it exploded, all surrounding personnel had found the drainage ditches. A turbine blade landed in the culvert my brother was in, he found it and drilled a hole in it and carried it on his key chain.
