Some years ago public libraries were opened to 'the homeless and violent' - and people who wanted to use the library quit going... I work at a college library. We often got outsiders wanting to sit there & read or study because they were avoiding the public libraries.

My family moved a lot when I was a child. The first thing I would do when we moved to a new town was ask a teacher where the town library was and ride my bike over. I did that from 4th grade on - so it was especially sad to see what happened when the homeless and violent established a new ‘flop’...
