Former first lady Barbara Bush is in failing health, a source close to the Bush family tells CNN. At 92 years old, Bush has been suffering for some time and has been in and out of the hospital multiple times in the last year while battling with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, or COPD, and congestive heart failure. The source said she is being cared for at her home in Houston and has decided she does not want to go back into the hospital.

My favorite first lady. What impressed me was when she was in the White House, she broke a leg sliding with her grand kids at Camp David. That she went sledding was great compared to the fake gardens of Michelle Obama or the fortune tellers of Nancy Reagan, etc.

I lived in Houston when the Former Pres. and first lady relocated there. It was funny how they responded to the many nosy drive-by's there. She was more upfront that anyone else, "this is a private residence."
