During his fourteen months in office, Trump has not let me down, but one time, and that was his signing of the last omnibus bill.
But for that one thing, he’s already got a better track record than any president in my 60+ years. In short, i trust him to make the best choices available to him in tough situations.
I knew going in, that he would do some things that would irritate the hell out of me. This is not one of them. As long as this doesn’t escalate into a ground war, he’s got my full support.

On that, though, it does also depend on what the enemy does. There's been quite a ground war there for some time, and the Russian politicians have been threatening to go beyond acting in an advisory capacity (e.g., Putin's repeated implications about nuking us).

During his fourteen months in office, Trump has not let me down, but one time, and that was his signing of the last omnibus bill. About the same for me. The omnibus is not "the swamp" but it does fund the managerial state, an appendage of the swamp. I'm sure it also contains Dem money for various "community organizations", i.e. leftist causes.
I am not that upset with the magnitude of the spending. We can grow the economy and grow out of some of our debt. But the continued spending on big government, even under Trump, means there is no hope for eliminating big government.
