Blasts were reported in Damascus, Syria, just minutes after President Trump announced that he would be launching an attack in retaliation for last week's chemical attack by Bashar al-Assad on his own citizens.
Unverified videos appear to show the attack as it happened, with Tomahawk missiles lighting up the sky over the Syrian capital.
President Trump said in a speech from the White House that he "ordered the United States Armed Forces to launch precision strikes on targets associated with the chemical weapons capabilities of Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad. A combined operation with the armed forces of France and the United Kingdom is now underway."
The U.S. is conducting precision air strikes with B1 bombers, and at least two structures have been hit, according to reports, including a scientific research facility that may have been a site where chemical weapons are produced.
The AP reported: "Syrias capital has been rocked by loud explosions that lit up the sky with heavy smoke as U.S. President Donald Trump announced airstrikes in retaliation for the countrys alleged use of chemical weapons."
AP reporters in Damascus saw smoke rising from the east side of Damascus. "Syrian state TV says the attack has begun on the capital, though it wasnt immediately clear what was targeted," the AP wrote.
Reuters is reporting that, according to a witness, several explosions have been heard in Damascus, with smoke rising on the east side of the city.
Syrian state TV claims that Syrian forces launched a counterattack and that 13 Tomahawk missiles were shot down by Syrian forces, although that information has not been verified.

Blasts in Damascus. Mummmmm, let's see, Isaiah 17:1 reads as: "The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap." (KJ version). The Bible says that one day Damascus will cease to exist. That overnight/day it shall simply be a heap of rubble, ruins. Damascus has been a city for approximately 5,000 years!!! It is a massively large city. Well over a couple of million people there and probably more with all the people who have run away from the war zones. Destroying a city of this size in just a night or day, clearly speaks of a possible nuke strike. That day seems to be looming closer and closer. Just as the Bible predicted.

people are just SICK TO DEATH of kicking over hornets nests in the middle east. Not me. One deserving city at a time. Eventually we'll run out of targets.

Let them kill each other. It’s none of our concern. It’s that many fewer when they start their open military invasion.

Ah, so what you are really saying (think it through fully - all we hit were chem or at least suspected chem weapon facilities) is that the Assad / Iran / Russia coalition can’t win without Assad’s chemical weapons.
How telling.

Gosh - the same line over and over and over again - sound like a left winger doing the party-line mantra...Yeah, the funny thing about the truth, it stings more as it's repeated.

I’ll assume you haven’t bothered watching any of the newscasts or coverage of the UN and NATO meetings - else you’d be serving that statement up with a side of crow....

I just hope it doesnt escalate. If last nights strikes were the end of our aggression then I can live with that.
I was frustrated last night but still support Trump. I just hope the strikes are over.

We have no good reason to be involved in Syria. None. Syria posed no threat to us, and they treated Christians far better than most other Muslim countries."
I believe we are in Syria for the same reason we were in Libya. To help the EU and GB to loot at Russias expense. Remember when the EU needed a bailout ? well looting Libya was the bailout. The coalition creates a false flag chemical attack humanitarian crisis in order to impose sanctions. Those sanctions amount to stealing the nations' wealth and assets and most natably the wealth of individuals connected to the nation. That is what Syria is about.
that is what all modern wars are about (including WW2)

I never said that , you somehow imagined it because you do not want to believe my theory . Thats fine , we beleive what we choose to believe . I never ever said or inferred that Trump is evil , my belif is contrary to that. I beleive Trump is a good man. I do however believe there is a very bad system in place that stirs unnecessary wars.
