Yes and no.

I think there could be times when the southern one, could possibly vote contrary to the other two.

It starts basically at Orange County, I think.

Basically you are right, though. This could be why it has a chance of actually passing, I think.

The northern one might also have some degree of independence. Though San Francisco is in it, I think. So I think that one would still be very liberal.

The North Staters are screwed, so long as SF is part of that entity.

It would wind up being another Massachusetts...and about the same size, maybe.

Boston and environs within the Rt. 128 belt...very Liberal. Outside of there, a large number of Conservative towns and communities. But not large enough to overcome the stink within Rt. 128.
