After reading a Wash Post article that mentioned REPs have 187 “safe” and “likely” seats for the 2018 midterms, I thought, wow that is far away from the 218 needed for a majority. So I decided to research what the “experts” are saying.
According to the “Experts” (435 House seats up for election, 218 needed for majority):

Research like this is why Free Republic is THE place to go go honest grass roots conservative news. Thank you for posting this good news. I believe Republicans can pick up as many as 8 seats in the House and 10 in the Senate. As I have pointed out in my posts the Republicans have many advantages the media is smothering. America is not going to vote for repealing the tax cuts, repealing the Second Amendment Impeaching Trump and erasing our borders.
As sick as this sounds, the ENTIRE ELECTION will be decided by Mueller. If Mueller is permitted to stay around long enough to indict Trump and everyone around Trump 2 weeks before the election, which, of course is his goal, then the Dems take over. If not - if Mueller is dispatched or otherwise brought under control, then the Republican will hold Congress.

I completely agree! It’s the same thing every election cycle the “pundits,” trying to figure out how to make a buck for themselves are always trying to create the illusion that there is some there, there, even when there isn’t! I believe our bigger issue is which Republicans are elected, re-elected, because therein lies the success or failure of the last two years of Trump’s first term. Hopefully the voters who elected Trump will prevail in the seats that are being vacated by the GOPE turds, and give us enough decent Congressmen and women and Senators to allow for the acceleration of the Trump Agenda, particularly with respect to Judicial appointments. Right now, all I’m hoping is that along with Ryan leaving, something happens to McConnell to take him out of the game, a la McCain.

Sorry, but not to ‘moderates’. They will default to GUILTY, just has happened in 1992 when they indicated half of Bush’s inner circle and threw the momentum to Clinton, who then won easily.

I think the Republican base will be fired up and we will have net gains in both houses.
Why: Indictments of deep staters, indictments of dems; spring, summer and fall. Hillary will come sometime after the election. President Trump will give us the appetizer and the salad to start. The only real wind in our face is voter fraud. Need to have a plan and a lot of volunteers.
Totally agree the Republicans need to have a unified message that will appeal to the American people.
Heard Newt Gingrich say today that they released the Contract with America in late September so that the media would not have a chance to pull it apart and demonize it. It worked as that was the year that Republicans won the House for the first time in my lifetime.

Mueller just raided Trumps Lawyer which is hugely illegal and the American People know it. Congress will turn on how folks feel about their representatives.
