Already in effect. The guy in charge of the search yesterday in NYC, Geoff Berman, is a former law partner of Rudy Giuliani.

(He’s also the current Trump-appointed U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York.)

Berman worked with Comey as attorneys for the Southern District of NY 1990-1993.

Comey is a New Yorker by all accounts.

ABC News has learned that Geoffrey Berman, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, is recused from the Michael Cohen investigation.

Two sources familiar with the matter tell ABC News Berman was not involved in the decision to raid Cohen’s office because of the recusal.
