Laura Ingraham’s return to Fox News tonight doesn’t mark the end of her bad news: Allstate insurance has quietly dropped Ingraham’s show, telling employees in an internal memo that her comments about Parkland student David Hogg were “inconsistent” with company values.
Ingraham is expected back on the air tonight after a vacation she announced amid the fallout over her comments. In a March 31 memo, obtained by TheWrap, Allstate said it severed ties with Ingraham’s show on Wednesday, March 28. That was the day Ingraham posted a tweet accusing Hogg of “whining” that he didn’t get into several colleges. Allstate is at least the 20th advertiser to drop Ingraham.
“Laura Ingraham’s comments about David Hogg were inconsistent with our values,” the memo read. “Allstate believes in youth empowerment and last year helped 5 million youth find their voices and take action to make the world better. We have not advertised on ‘The Ingraham Angle’ since Wednesday. We hope our youth can help us find a path to a less divisive future.”
A spokeswoman for the company would not confirm the memo’s authenticity, only saying: “We’ve taken note of your concern.”
When asked if the company had any future ads scheduled to appear on the show, the spokeswoman said: “I cannot answer that question.”

Tonight is her return. I never saw or heard anywhere that her vacation week was said to be pre-planned. It is common to have a pundit duck out for a time out, during a firestorm.
They billed it as her vacation with kids following the Easter holiday. Howevever, never did FOX say it was pre-planned, or scheduled, not that I heard.
They won’t get a penny from me.

I’ve had State Farm since 1974. Never ever thought of using Allstate. They have cute expensive commercials which tells me they charge too much
Apologies! Not sure how this got double posted.
One of their commercials really rubs me the wrong way and I am not sure why. It has no racial overtones but is of a kid who has been in a minor accident and is glibly telling his parents what happened and since they were wise enough to have Allstate, everything is fine.
The parents are in bed and the wife just announces his punishment. No discussion with the husband at all.
I guess technically nothing wrong with it but like I said, something about it irritates me.

Next is your family members can’t get employment from a leftist company and you can’t get a mortgage or car loan from a leftist bank and you can’t get into a leftist college. All of them follow pro-left Hogg values, you see.
Decent company. Worth taking the time to read the policy. Tell your agent you want the full policy, as some carriers are now not sending the whole policy to their clients.
Many companies are writing different policies to meet price perimeters in certain markets. That is not necessarily good for you and your property, as it can mean a lesser coverage for you. You won’t care until you need it.

I wish I did business with AllState so I could quit doing business with AllState.
What if every NON-Allstate customer with lots of time and inclination, called and asked for an insurance quote, and after getting it, said, “Oh, that’s right, YOU”RE the ones who dropped the Laura Ingraham Show. No way do I want to do business with YOU despicable scumbags!
