war might he be referring to?
Knives.
And, acid.
An epidemic of stabbings and acid attacks in London has gotten so bad that London mayor Sadiq Khan is announcing broad new "knife control" policies designed to keep these weapons of war out of the hands of Londoners looking to cause others harm.
The mayor further tweeted:
No excuses: there is never a reason to carry a knife. Anyone who does will be caught, and they will feel the full force of the law.
Never a reason to carry a knife...
Hes probably right. If you dared to use one to defend yourself, you would be looking at charges.
The current laws are pretty strict:

A non locking 3 blade seems to be legal to carry. But, thats about it.

I’m aghast ... semi-auto killing knives in Londonstan!
Like my brother says “Why don’t they make murder illegal that way criminals will stop killing people” LOL! Perfect analogy of the mindset of the left, they just do not get it. CRIMINALS DO NOT OBEY THE LAW! THAT’S WHY THEY ARE CRIMINALS! We can pass 10 gabillion gun laws, all of that is meaningless to CRIMINALS!
Churchill must be spinning in his grave faster than an electric fan. It absolutely astounds me how political correctness has just absolutely crippled the English.
They need common sense knife control. A universal background check before purchasing any cutlery. Any blades over 3 will be confiscate and destroyed. Anyone causing fear among family members can obtain a warrant to confiscate all of his knives. Knives are the exclusive premise of the police and militarycivilians have no need for any kind of knife. Butter knives will be permitted only if they cannot be rendered to cut any butter more than two tablespoons.
We MUST do this for the children!!
Shut up!
If Sadiq Khan were to say “Everyone with a name like mine or a face like mine” should immediately leave England and go South to Spain, then swim across to Africa”, he’d do the UK a much bigger favor.
We all knew this was coming didn’t we.
As soon as I read the title of this thread I thought back to this Monty Python skit IMMEDIATELY. I pulled it up and watched it and a few others.....good stuff - funny and ahead of its time!
Please be sure and write your names on your bags. They will be loaded onto a different train. Now, step this way to you cattle car...........
All this demonstrates is the limitations of Twitter for communicating this kind of information. A more lengthy communication might have pointed out
a) that the police only have powers to arrest somebody for carrying a knife if they have reasonable grounds for suspecting intent to use it as a weapon, or it’s one of the categories of knife which are banned. Thus the ordinary citizen carrying a knife for trade, sport craft or domestic use etc can’t be arrested.
b) that the Mayor has no power to issue operational instructions to the police, which can only come from the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, who reports to the Home Secretary, not the Mayor
c) that the Mayor of London has no power to change or introduce law.
The powers of the Mayor of London are very much less than those of the Mayor of a large U.S. city.
That’s some fancy Mall Ninja knife
If you want a really nice pocket knife get one of these:
I used to carry Kershaw (Leeks)only for years. The S&W is more to my liking because of the serration, and the handle is twice as thick as a Kershaw - it feels much better in my hand.
Basically, scissors are two knives held together with a rivet or small screw....
What about those retractable, assault box cutters???
Do not get me started on those wicked fountain pens and wood pencils!
Dumber than a bag of hammers (oops - hammers are weapons of war ;^)...
So are screwdrivers! And let us not forget the pliers and their evil cousin, the dreaded vice grips! PINCH YOU SO HARD, THEY WILL!
The mayor should just have his slaves patrol the streets.
Kershaw...
What model is It?
I’ll keep an Eye out for it!
