Yeah it’s probably around 200.
Most of the 209 engine companies run with an officer and four firefighters, but 61 of them are manned 1+5.
FDNY has 7 Squads (these are counted in the 209 figure above) and these are also manned 1+5. The Squads are an engine company with a full compliment of truck (ladder) company tools as well as some basic tools carried by the heavy rescues.
The rescues as well as the truck companies are 1+5.
Each Chief has an aide.
So yeah, somewhere around 200 when you factor in EMS and other support elements.
