Atlanta (CNN)There were no signs of foul play in the death of a US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention epidemiologist who likely drowned, officials said Thursday.
The remains of Timothy Cunningham were discovered Tuesday in the Chattahoochee River in northwest Atlanta, police spokesman Carlos Campos said. Cunningham, 35, was last seen on February 12.
The preliminary cause of death is drowning, Fulton County Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Jan Gorniak told reporters. The manner of death has not been determined, she said. Authorities made a positive ID of the remains by using dental records, Gorniak said...

Was his car found next to the river? Seems like a strange way to commit suicide.?.? You can imagine that conspiracy minded people (of which I am becoming one of them) are concerned about CDC whistle blowers being “Seth Rich’ed”...
Can you prove he was troubled? Or was he a whistle blower? Or both?
His family admitted in the first news reports that he was troubled, having personal issues, and all, which is why they were so keen to check up on him and had been doing so for a while. This was no surprise to them.

I just read that he was found four miles from his Northwest Atlanta house. As I recall he left his car at his house.
The Chattahoochee River famously flows through Atlanta: That's where some of the Atlanta Child Murder bodies were dumped. It flows toward, and then forms more than half of, the Georgia-Alabama border.
