Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) acknowledged this week that the 2018 midterm cycle could prove especially difficult for the Republican Party in the face of increased Democratic voter enthusiasm.

In an interview with Kentucky Today, published Tuesday, McConnell admitted: “This is going to be a challenging election year."

“We know the wind is going to be in our face,” he continued. “We don’t know whether it’s going to be a Category 3, 4 or 5.”

Yes Mitch, thank you so much for shutting the doors on McDaniel and Moore. Surely the pond scum public can see your wisdom in keeping Cochran and taking in a democrat. What a treasure you are Mitch, we won’t forget!

And whose fault is that, Mitch? Huh? What possible incentive are you giving conservative voters to let you have another two years as majority leader?

And Traitor McTurdle is HAPPY about it.

May they all be locked up soon. Our Republic depends upon it.

Because he's been sucking farts out of subway seats?

Or did his staff of hillbillies hit McDonald's for breakfast again?

Are you kidding?

Mitch McConnell and the rest of the Republican leadership, would be just as happy if Democrats were to win.

There are roughly 337 presidential nominees to be confirmed, and yet, Mitch McConnell and the rest of the Republican leadership have left these appointments in limbo.

And according to Jay Sekulow & panel, the Republicans don’t need the Democrats to put them through, they have enough votes, in spite of the Democrats obstruction.

Go to cookpolitical.com because it has a list of the seats that are in swing areas. If we are serious about this president’s priorities, then we need to look at these lists, pick a few districts, and start campaigning (phone banks). Campaigning isn’t just going door to door, it’s online now. We are spending time on the Internet, and we have email. Find out when voter registration is over, and when churches have events that are not services, talk with people about what’s at stake and give them information on how to get registered to vote. The election is lost if we don’t campaign, but if we have the same attitude we had in 2016, we don’t have to lose.

The #1 weakness of Republican incumbents is the image that they cannot get anything done.

The #1 reason for this is the lack of Senate up or down votes on appointments. If McConnell wants to protect his incumbents he must immediately get 2 up and down votes.
One on executive department appointments.
One on Judicial appointments.

That will do more for McConnell’s incumbents than millions of dollars in donations. The image is reality and McConnell cannot change it. The image is that McConnell and Republican Congress cannot get anything done.

Like P.J. O'Rourke says, "Republicans are the party that says that government doesn't work.....then they get elected and prove it."

Because the GOPe made this hot wind from their backsides when they should have been supportive of our President from their front sides. It’s so simple even an establishment hack can understand it.
