SAN BRUNO (KRON) - KRON4 is hearing reports of an active shooter at YouTube's headquarters in San Bruno.

The City Manager tells KRON4 they've received multiple 9-1-1 calls from YouTube, however, they did not disclose the reasons why.

The headquarters is located at 901 Cherry Avenue.

San Bruno Police tweeted at 1 p.m. to avoid the area due to police activity.

FWIW This AM on KSFO they said Mohammad bin Salman, the main prince from KSA is at the 4 Seasons down the road in East Palo Alto for the week. His entourage has rented the entire hotel for a week for conferences with Silicon Valley big wigs. I know there are military aircraft in the area.

Don’t tell me: No armed guards or metal detectors because that would protect people and we can’t have that. Instead let’s blame the NRA again and again and again and ban guns so we can get the murder rate as high as London England.

1. Google issues backpacks to all employees.
2. Security never checks full time employees' backpacks.
3. Nobody gets into a Google building without a badge with access to that specific facility.
4. All Google departments have a budget line item designated "Fun". Teams have been know to spend their "Fun" budgets on range trips. There was no rule against it when I was there.
5. Virtually all of the gun people I knew at Google were gay. (Which was another reason I kept my affinity for firearms to myself when I was there.)

I always made a point of knowing how to get out of any building I was in - knowing where the fire extinguishers or other window opening devices were located. It was something that always made me uncomfortable when I was there.
