An image of the San Damiano Cross, showing Jesus in glory, reigning from his cruciform throne, has been rejected by Facebook because of its shocking content.
This is what the monitors at Facebook consider excessively violent, sensational, and shocking, said a statement from Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio.

'How to pick up Jewish chicks': Vile anti-Semitic picture shows human remains on a shovel - but Facebook refused to remove it · The meme was posted to a page attributed to a Queensland man · It was shared, like and commented on tens of thousands of times · Many of the comments were anti-Semitic and offensive remarks · The image was reported by users for 'hate speech' · But Facebook said it did not breach its community standards
Could have been this Jewish girl
Beaten by a guard before her picture was taken; was killed in a camp the following year.
Biblical prophesy being fulfilled.
Well, since there are no surviving photos or paintings of Jesus, is this a bad thing?
I live in the bible belt. There are a lot of strongly religious Christians here that are also incredibly gullible, when it comes to religious claims. I’ve actually had some of them send me a photo of “jesus” with text in the photo that says something along the lines of “will you pass this photo of Jesus along, or are you too busy”, or some other sort of guilt trip.
Except it’s a picture of a young Obi-Wan Kenobi.
And they are SERIOUS.
Fact is, you CAN’T post a picture of Jesus, because none exist. The best you can do is post a picture of a man in a beard and say, “hey everybody, it’s Jesus (or that star wars guy, or Jerry Garcia)!”
Jesus on the cross as a religious symbol is banned. But images such as “piss Christ” , which are meant to be critical of Christ, will be allowed.
Sarcasm.....,
Islam forbids pictures of Muhammad.
Currently on my Facebook feed there are multiple images of Christ crucified.
Oh no LOL no sarcasm here..Facebook adores Muslims they would never do anything to piss off their precious pedophile Mad Mo..but Christianity, they do nothing but allow people to trash Jesus non stop without a care in the world
If Mo Pics were published on Facebook, the jihadis would go ‘Hog-Wild’!.
Like I needed another reason to never have a FB account.
Ron H.: Biblical prophesy being fulfilled.
It should be noted that Mark Zuckerberg is Jewish, however.
That is truly disgusting and despicable.
“How so?”
This is Jim Robinson’s site. We’re guests here and that means he allows the religious posts that meet his definition of community standards and we adhere to those standards.
We don’t get to post advocacy pieces for radical Islam, Scientology BS, or advocacy for Satanic or demonic religions, and etc.
But we do have the freedom to start our own sites if we want to.
Likewise, I believe in freedom of religion but if you come to my house we pray before each meal, we honor God in this house, and if you can’t square with that then you know where the door is.
And Free Republic to me is Jim’s house and I try my best to remember this when I write something.
Isn’t this the same face book that showed a picture of a cats mouth after firecrackers went off in it, other animal abuse, Muslim beheadings and stonings, sniffing condoms-now a Facebook fad,
Various violence and other cruelty?
I thought so.
Which is why FB is dead to me. I refuse even to say their name. I do not have a FB page nor am I on any social network (other than FreeRepublic). Not even LinkedIn.
“Islam forbids pictures of Muhammad.”
This didn’t used to be true. There are some famous works of art by classical Muslim artists that portray Mohammed leaping into Heaven astride his horse, there are paintings of his triumphal entry into Mecca, and etc.
This brand of Islam that makes women wear bags and that destroys art is a new thing since the 1930’s. Not that I’m in favor of any form of Islam, just that I know that the current form of extremism is a relatively new thing.

‘The Precise Image of What Jesus Looked Like’: Shroud of Turin Used to Create 3-D Copy of Jesus
How? Who would know?
Well, that one is certainly debatable (to say the least), but I suppose that, assuming it doesn’t violate any copyrights, Facebook would allow a posting of a picture of the shrowd. :)
The title reads:
“Facebook now bans image of Jesus on cross.”
It has nothing to do with photography.
Facebook is a site that hates Christianity and bans Christian images.
This is very similar to what communist dictatorships do..
Our founders wanted America to be a place where people were free to practice their religion. Our constitution guarantees freedom of religion.
In fact, our founders said that America would fail and not survive if its citizens were not people of faith.
George Washington said, “While we are zealously performing the duties of good citizens and soldiers, we certainly ought not to be inattentive to the higher duties of religion. To the distinguished character of Patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of Christian.”
John Adams said, Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.
Facebooks wants to destroy Christians. Facebook wants to destroy America.
The preaching of the cross is FOOLISHNESS to those who are PERISHING.
