Fifty years ago we sent a men to the moon but we still haven’t been able to develop a standardized test where blacks score as well as whites or Asians. People have tried negrocentric teaching methods before and argued that blacks “learn differently” than whites, but I don’t know if it worked. I suspect not.

I'd have no problem with teaching Afrocentric math to STEM - as long as it only earns them an Afrocentric STEM degree and this degree only allows them to practice their profession in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Let them Africa's bridges, formulate Africa's pharmaceuticals, etc..!

A Canadian high school switched to Africentric Math to attract black students to go into Science, Technology, Engineering and Math(STEM) fields The problem of getting blacks interested in STEM is not anything to do with Africa.
It is a purely North America problem.
Blacks in North America have a culture developed since the advent of the War on Poverty that being book smart, studying and academic achievement is acting white.
to Africentric Math is not going to overcome such a cultural bias against academics.

The bigger question is why are Canadian Negro children unable to do ordinary math? Canada never had slavery or Jim Crow laws. Canada was always a haven for Negroes who did not like America.

I got no problem with this, but I don't think it will work.
Besides, I'm starting to see many intelligent black folk in STEM.

Afro-math got us to the Moon. Or at least the Mountains On The Moon or at least the dead reckoning that got Richard Francis Burton and John Hanning Speke to the source of the Nile River.
Basically, luck, tribal memories, and "feelings".
Yeah, I want to fly in a plane engineered with Wakanda math. /s

Used to be, a teacher could motivate the kids by pointing out some other demographic, typically a rival, had mastered a subject.
Nothing said get your butt in gear like Sputnik going up.
Now the idiot academics want you to be able to “see your culture” in a subject. These people are completely ignorant of human nature.
The best way to motivate people is to point out the absence of their culture in contributing to a field, then tell them to get cracking or get left behind.

I was never racist enough to care whether the math I learned came from Greece (geometry), from the Arabs (al-gebra), or wherever. The activist Left is unbelievably bigoted.
